‘How Was Your Day?’ Wins Best Irish Short at the Foyle Film Festival
Congratulations to the team behind the short film How Was Your Day?, which won the award for Best Irish Short at the Foyle Film Festival over the weekend. As Foyle is an Academy Award®-accredited festival, How Was Your Day? will qualify to be longlisted for an Academy Award® in the Short Film category.
Directed by Damien O’Donnell, How Was Your Day? was adapted from a short story by Nollaig Rowan and stars Eileen Walsh (The Magdalene Sisters) as a woman excited about the approaching birth of her first child. Produced by Emmaline Dowling for Suitable Films Limited, How Was Your Day? also stars Seán Duggan, Aidan McCardle, Janet Moran, Eamonn Hunt and Molly McNamara.
How Was Your Day? was funded by Bord Scannán na hÉireann/the Irish Film Board’s Signatures short film scheme.
Held in Derry-Londonderry, the Foyle Film Festival is an Academy Award®-accredited festival which celebrates independent films, acclaimed feature length movies, documentaries and short films.
