Irish Times Readers Vote ‘Patrick’s Day’ as Best Irish Film of 2015

The winners of the Ticket Awards, published with today’s Irish Times, have been unveiled with Terry McMahon’s Patrick’s Day voted as Best Irish Film of 2015. The Ticket Awards are chosen by Irish Times readers.

Patrick’s Day was also the first runner-up in the Best Film category. Terry McMahon was a runner-up in the Best Director category while Moe Dunford was a runner-up for Best Performance.

The runners-up in the Best Irish Film category were Brooklyn, I Used to Live Here, The Queen of Ireland and Glassland. The Lobster was the winner of Best Director for Yorgos Lanthimos and Best Ensemble, while Best Animation went to Song of the Sea.

Alex Fegan’s Older Than Ireland was the winner of Best Documentary with Conor Horgan’s The Queen of Ireland as the first runner-up. Michael Fassbender was the winner of the Best Performance award for his role in Steve Jobs with Jordanne Jones as the first runner-up in the same category for I Used to Live Here.
