‘Brooklyn’ Continues Awards Charge with Producers Guild Award Nomination

Congratulations to Brooklyn producers Finola Dwyer and Amanda Posey, who have been nominated at the 27th Producers Guild Awards.

Dwyer and Posey are nominated for the Darryl F. Zanuck Award for Outstanding Producer of Theatrical Motion Pictures, alongside Academy Award® contenders including Bridge of Spies, The Revenant and Spotlight.

This continues the long streak of award nominations and wins for Brooklyn. In addition to a nomination at this Sunday's Golden Globes, star Saoirse Ronan recently received the Best Actress Award at the New York Film Critics Circle Awards.

Directed by John Crowley and adapted by Nick Hornby from Colm Tóibín's novel, the executive producer on Brooklyn was Alan Moloney. The film stars Saoirse Ronan, Domhnall Gleeson, Emory Cohen, Julie Walters and Jim Broadbent. Brooklyn was produced by Wildgaze Films, Finola Dwyer Productions, Parallel Films and Item 7 and was funded by Bord Scannán na hÉireann/the Irish Film Board, the BAI, RTÉ, BBC, Telefilm and the BFI.

Held by the Producers Guild of America, the Producers Guild Awards honour the finest producing work of the year. They will be held in Los Angeles on January 23rd.
