‘Tiger Raid’ & ‘Holidays’ will Premiere at the Tribeca Film Festival in New York Next Month

‘Tiger Raid' starring Irish actors Brian Gleeson (‘The Stag', ‘Standby') and Damien Molony (‘Clean Break') will have its world premiere at the Tribeca Film Festival next month. The film is a dark thriller featuring two mercenaries who journey across the desert while undertaking a kidnapping in Iraq. Based on Irish writer Mick Donnellan's acclaimed play of the same name, Tiger Raid is an Irish co-production directed by Simon Dixon and scripted by Gareth Coulam Evans, Mick Donnellan and Simon Dixon. Tiger Raid will premiere in the Midnight strand of the festival. The film was produced by David Collins and Martina Niland for Dublin-based Samson Films and Gareth Coulam Evans for London's Story Films, with support from Bord Scannán na hÉireann/the Irish Film Board.

'Holidays', a horror anthology from some of today's most visionary genre auteurs, was also selected for the festival. Telling stories from a very unholy Easter Bunny to a particularly macabre Valentine's Day gift, 'Holidays' is a full calendar year of festive stories, bringing out the most twisted and subversive sides of each seasonal celebration. Irish director Gary Shore (Dracula Untold) is amongst the directors on the project.

The Tribeca Film Festival takes place in New York from April 13-24. Established by Robert DeNiro, the Festival has screened over 1400 films from over 80 countries since its first festival in 2002.
