National Film School Lecture Series
The National Film School Lecture Series in association with Bord Scannán na hÉireann/the Irish Film Board continues this week with a lecture by Danny Cohen BSC, Academy Award®-nominated Cinematographer.
Danny Cohen was a photographic technician at Middlesex Polytechnic and then worked as a camera assistant on documentaries and commercials for eight years. His first job a DoP for the cinema was the horror film, Creep. He has collaborated a number of times with Shane Meadows on Dead Man's Shoes and This is England, as well as several television spin-offs. Other credits include: The Danish Girl; Les Misérables (ASC nomination); The King's Speech (Oscar® nomination); and Longford (TV); all directed by Tom Hooper; plus Lenny Abrahamson's Room; The Hollow Crown; and The Program. This event is organised in partnership with the Irish Society of Cinematographers and will be moderated by Tim Fleming ISC.
The lecture takes place on Monday 14 March 2016 in NFS Studio 1 at 3.30pm.
