IRISH FILM COMMISSIONER APPOINTED TO EFCN BOARD
BSE/IFB Film Commissioner Naoise Barry has been appointed to the European Film Commission Network (EFCN) first Board of Directors. The EFCN has been recently established to allow national commissions across the EU to cooperate more fully. The 2nd Congress of the EFCN occurs on the 9th of February, prior to the opening of the 55th Berlin International Film Festival. Guest of honour, Viviane Reding (Member of the European Commission, responsible for Education and the Culture) will open the event. The Irish Film Board has been central to the development of this European initiative."I congratulate Naoise Barry on this appointment," said BSE/IFB CEO Mark Woods. "It is a deserving recognition of Naoise Barry's tireless work in promoting Ireland as a location by his peers."
