After 16 Shorts Screening in Dublin City Public Libraries

 

As part of the Dublin City Council 1916/2016 Centenary Programme and Bealtaine Festival, Dublin City Public Libraries will hold a number of screenings of the ‘After ‘16' shorts, commissioned by the Irish Film Board to celebrate the centenary of the 1916 Easter Rising. 

The nine short films that make up the collection are a creative response by Irish filmmakers to the 1916 events. The stories told are a mixture of live action drama, animation and documentary.

The screening schedule is:
Ballyfermot Library Tuesday 10 & 17 May at 5.00pm
Cabra Library Saturday 21 May at 2.00pm
Charleville Mall Library Wednesday 25 May at 10.45am
Coolock Library Wednesday 18 & 25 May at 6pm
Finglas Library Wednesday 18 May at 6.30pm
Inchicore Library Wednesday 11 & 18 May at 6.30pm
Raheny Library Thursday 5 May at 5.30pm
Rathmines Library Wednesday 18 May at 6.30pm
Terenure Library Wednesday 18 May at 6.15pm

Bealtaine Festival runs for the month of May and is about celebrating creativity as we age. The screenings are free but booking is recommended through the individual libraries.
