HOW WAS YOUR DAY? and GEIST are winners at Fastnet Film Festival
The sun shone on Schull for the 8th Fastnet Film Festival, which took place over the weekend. Award winners were announced today with two IFB funded films among the recipients.
The award for Best Drama went to Damien O'Donnell's How Was Your Day?, while Geist by Alex Sherwood, Ben Harper & Sean Mullen was named Best Amination.
How Was Your Day?, which stars Eileen Walsh was named Best Narrative Short at SXSW earlier this year. It also won Best Irish Short at Foyle Film Festival in Derry. As Foyle is an Academy Award®-accredited festival, How Was Your Day? will qualify to be longlisted for an Academy Award® in the Short Film category.
Geist has screened at SXSW and Animafest Zagreb. It was awarded Best Irish Short at this year's Dublin International Film Festival. It was awarded Best Animated Short by IFTA 2016.
