DRAFT ECO FILM GUIDELINES: Industry Consultation on Policy and Guidelines

BSÉ/IFB is delighted to announce guidelines to assist with film and television production in environmentally sensitive rural locations. The Eco Film Guidelines are the result of a meetings held in 2004, between filmmakers and key governmental stakeholders where it was concluded that guidelines covering this area would be a useful tool for filmmakers considering their location options.

These guidelines have been developed by Ecological Consultants, Natura Ltd with the support of the National Parks and Wildlife Service, the Wicklow Film Commission and Bord Scannán na hÉireann/ the Irish Film Board. In order to ensure that these guidelines improve your ability to shoot in rural Ireland we need your written feedback.

BSE/IFB invites industry consultation by way of written feedback on the DRAFT ECO FILM GUIDELINES which are available to download.

Please send written comment to feedback@filmboard.ie including “ECO FILM” in the subject line of your e-mail. When making written comment you should make reference to specific clauses by number, letter and/or page. The closing date for written feedback is May 20th 2005.

BSE/IFB welcomes your input and comment on these guidelines. While we cannot guarantee your comments will form a part of the completed paper, your comments will play a valuable part of informing the final shape of these ECO FILM GUIDELINES.
