FLUENT DYSPHASIA Wins Best Short Film Award at Belfast Film Festival
Irish short film FLUENT DYSPHASIA picked up the Jameson Best Short Film Award in association with Kodak at the Belfast Film Festival last weekend. Directed by Daniel O'Hara FLUENT DYSPHASIA stars Stephen Rea who wakes up one day, mysteriously speaking perfect Irish - which he never could before - and having forgotten how to speak English, he must look for help wherever he can get it.FLUENT DYSPHASIA was produced under the OSCAILT short film schemes co-financed by BSÉ/IFB and TG4 which aims to add to short fiction film-making in Irish and encourage talent in all areas of Irish language production. Oscailt has also broadened to include fictional pieces in animation, flash animation or docu-drama projects.
