Irish short film 'BURNING THE BED' in cinemas nationwide with 'A LOT LIKE LOVE '
Denis McArdle's atmospheric new short film BURNING THE BED has been released by Buena Vista International (Ireland) with Ashton Kutcher starrer, A LOT LIKE LOVE in Irish cinemas nationwide.Gina McKee (NOTTING HILL, MICKYBO & ME) and Aidan Gillen (QUEER AS FOLK, TROUBLE WITH SEX) star in BURNING THE BED, an atmospheric drama about a couple separating in the west of Ireland. Although still strongly connected, they decide to burn their bed in a cathartic and ritual-like fashion.
Directed by Denis McArdle from a script by Patrick Chapman, the film was funded by the Irish Film Board / RTE "SHORT CUTS" scheme. BURNING THE BED has screened in over 40 festivals worldwide and has scooped three major awards for Best Short film, with much praise given to Tom McDougal's lush photography.
