UPDATE ON NEW THEATRICAL RELEASE FUNDING FOR SHORT FILMS
BSÉ/IFB currently provides funding for the theatrical distribution of a small number of short films every year. To date this funding has only been available for short films that were commissioned under the BSÉ/IFB short film schemes - Short Cuts, Oscailt, Frameworks and Short Shorts, with particular emphasis on films produced under the Short Shorts scheme.However this funding has now been extended to include the small number of short films that receive BSÉ/IFB print support during the year. Subject to available funding, these short films may apply for up to 10 prints for a theatrical release in the Republic of Ireland.
