Digital Media Awards-January 23rd 2003
Bord Scannan na hEireann/the Irish Film Board are proud to be associated with the inaugural Digital Media Awards which take place on January 23rd in the O'Reilly Hall in UCD, Dublin. The shortlist for the awards includes 10 nominations which the Film Board have supported.The Award ceremony is organised by Digital Media Intelligence which was set up to promote digital technology across a wide range of sectors in Ireland. The primary objective of the ‘Awards’ is to showcase the achievements of the emerging digital media industry in Ireland. The Digital Media sector is quickly emerging as one of the most exciting and fastest growing areas in Ireland. This is the first awards system of its kind in the world and as such is a testament to the enthusiasm and drive of the companies that comprise the digital media sector here.
