Call for Submissions: New Irish language one hour drama scheme UAIR

BSÉ/IFB and TG4 are seeking applications for UAIR, a new one-hour Irish language drama scheme designed to develop and produce single TV drama and build on the success of the Oscailt short film scheme, celebrating it's tenth anniversary this year.

TG4 and BSÉ/IFB are looking for strong, bold, challenging performance driven pieces for post watershed transmission that aim beyond the small screen. UAIR aims to assist talented filmmakers working in the Irish language, to develop and produce a longer form drama prior to embarking on feature.

3 projects will initially be developed with one project being selected for production in the first phase. Uair budgets will range between €150,000 and €200,000 for a single hour film and it is intended that UAIR will premiere at the Cork Film Festival 2006, and will be broadcast on TG4’s 10th Anniversary on 31st October 2006 and on Christmas Day 2006.

The deadline for applications is December 16th. Application forms and detailed guidelines are available from the FUNDING GUIDELINES section of this website. Please read guidelines carefully before making an application. All applications should be sent to TG4, Baile na hAbhann, Co. na Gaillimhe.
