Irish Film ‘Winter’s End’ considered for Hollywood Award
Irish film, Winter’s End has been invited by Cinequest Online to compete in the prestigious 2nd Annual Viewer's Voice Awards. The feature film is a contemporary thriller set on an isolated farm in rural Ireland. The film tells the chilling tale of a farmer who kidnaps people to protect his land and goes to extraordinary lengths to ensure his family’s survival. The feature film was written and directed by Patrick Kenny and produced by Damien Donnelly.“Winter’s End is a film that defied the odds”, says Patrick Kenny. “It was made on a very tight budget by people who had never made a feature film before. Yet it has had great success to date and has now been invited to compete in California’s Cinequest Viewers Voice Awards”.
Winter’s End also took the top prize for Best Picture at the Hollywood DV Festival in Los Angeles in December. Cine International, Germany will be selling the film at the Cannes Film market this year.
