Award Winning Irish Short Films USELESS DOG and UNDRESSING MY MOTHER in Cinemas Nationwide
USELESS DOG, the award winning short film directed by Ken Wardrop is currently playing is cinemas nationwide with the Paul Mercier’s new feature film STUDS, starring Brendan Gleeson and distributed by Buena Vista International (Ireland) .USELESS DOG picked up an Honourable Mention at the Oberhausen Short Film Festival last year. The short films also won the Best Documentary prize at the recent Sligo Film Festival and an award for the Best Original Score at the European Short Film Biennale Ludwigsburg in Germany. The film was produced by Andrew Freedman at Venom Film with completion funding from Board Scannán na hÉireann / the Irish Film Board.
A second film by Wardrop, UNDRESSING MY MOTHER was also released in selected cinemas across the country playing in front of the feature film PROOF, starring Gwyneth Paltrow and Anthony Hopkins and released by Buena Vista International (Ireland). UNDRESSING MY MOTHER has earned over 20 awards including the Best European Short Film and it was selected to screen at the Sundance Film Festival in January this year. UNDRESSING MY MOTHER was also produced by Venom Film with completion funding from Board Scannán na hÉireann / the Irish Film Board.
