Irish Film Board sponsors post-screening discussion forum at the new Guth Gafa Documentary Festival
Bord Scannán na hÉireann/The Irish Film Board in association with Screen Producers Ireland are supporting a series of Post-screening discussion sessions between visiting international filmmakers and Irish producers and directors at the inaugural Guth Gafa (Captive Voice) Documentary Film Festival which will take place in Gortahork, County Donegal, Ireland, between the 18th and 21st May 2006.Guth Gafa will be screening more than 20 Irish and international films over the 3 days, and the Irish Film Board funded post-screening seminars will take place after the showing of every film, where the visiting director or producer is in attendance. In these seminars, the visiting directors/producers will talk about their work and be questioned about their films in a critical and in-depth way, which will go beyond the traditional festival post-screening Q & A sessions. Each Post-screening Discussion will be hosted by an experienced Irish documentary producer or director.
