THE IRISH PAVILION AT THE CANNES FILM FESTIVAL

The Irish Pavilion is a joint marketing initiative between Bord Scannán na hÉireann/the Irish Film Board and The Northern Ireland Film Commission at which acts as the focal point for Irish activities at the Cannes Film Festival.

In 2006, the pavilion will continue to provide essential services to the Irish film industry, to promote Irish film screening at the festival and to market Ireland as a film location.

This year the following services will be available:

  • Staffed information desk open 9am - 8pm daily
  • Terrace with bar and meeting facilities
  • Business services e.g. email, fax
  • Multiple internet points
  • Information Notice Board
  • Storage facilities (subject to availability)
  • Texting message facility

The Irish Pavilion's aim is to provide a high profile, well-resourced base for the Irish film industry and its guests, attending the Cannes Film Market and Festival. In addition, it acts as an information point for enquiries about Ireland and the Irish film industry.

Another key aim is to encourage the meeting and interaction between the Irish film industry and its international counterparts. The 2006 Pavilion will continue to host a number of receptions throughout the festival.

To avail of the services at the Irish Pavilion you must become a member of the Irish Pavilion.
