SUNDANCE WAIVE ENTRY FEES FOR IRISH FILMS

Bord Scannán na hÉireann / the Irish Film Board has negotiated a WAIVER of entry fees for Irish films again this year for the Sundance Film Festival in January 2007.

Last year Ireland was represented at the festival with Ken Wardrop’s film Undressing My Mother, which was selected from over 4,500 entries and was one of the top five short films at the festival, receiving a ‘Special Mention’ from the Jury. Damien O’Donnell’s feature film Inside I’m Dancing was selected to screen at Sundance in 2005.

The official submission deadlines for the 2007 festival are as follows:

  • U.S. & INTERNATIONAL SHORT FILMS
    Friday, September 1st, 2006
  • U.S. & INTERNATIONAL FEATURE FILMS & DOCUMENTARIES
    Monday, September 11th, 2006

Please note that BSÉ/IFB funded shorts from 2005 and 2006 will be automatically submitted into the festival by Network Ireland Television as part of the Short Film Promotion activities.
