FILMFOUR TEAMS UP WITH IRISH FILMMAKERS ON NEW PROJECT 'GARAGE'
FilmFour is teaming up with Irish filmmakers Lenny Abrahamson and Mark O’Halloran for their much-anticipated next feature project, Garage.Written by O’Halloran and to be directed by Abrahamson with funding from the Irish Film Board , Garage. is a tragi-comic elegy to big-hearted small-town misfit, starring Irish comedian Pat Shortt and Anne Marie Duff. The film shoots for 6 weeks in Ireland commencing on August 14th.
Garage is produced by Ed Guiney and exec produced by Andrew Lowe of Element Films. Garage is financed by FilmFour, Bord Scannán na hÉireann/the Irish Film Board, RTÉ, the Broadcasting Commission of Ireland (BCI) and the Irish tax incentive scheme Section 481.
Abrahamson and O’Halloran most recently worked together on the cult hit Adam & Paul which picked up several awards including Best First Film at Galway Film Fleadh, Grand Prix for Best Film at Sofia International Film Festival and Best Director at the Romanian Film Festival.
