Bord Scannan na hÉireann Short Film The Faeries of Blackheath Woods takes top Prize at Cork Film Festival
The short film
The Faeries of Blackheath Woods has already enjoyed international success and has just been awarded the Best Irish Short award at the Cork Film Festival. The supernatural tale was produced as part of the BSÉ/IFB Short Shorts scheme. The film has been invited to screen at a number of national and international festivals including The New York Horror Film Festival, Scremfest LA, Kerry Film Festival, Cineygma Luxembourg, Terror Fest and will open the Horrorthon Festival at the IFI in Dublin. The 3 minute piece was directed by Ciaran Foy and produced by Alan Maher and Louise Cornally.
