IFB looking to appoint new Development Executive

The Irish Film board is looking to appoint a new Development Executive. The successful candidate will work directly with the Chief Executive, with a high degree of devolved authority, in the consideration of development funding applications on behalf of feature films and in the management of projects selected for support. As a member of the agency’s core creative team, she or he will also play a close consultative role with regard to feature films, documentaries, animations and short films submitted for production funding.

This crucial position calls for a dedicated, energetic and patient person with strong intuition and a real passion for enabling screenwriting talent to express itself. An ability to discover and nurture new talent will be as vital to the job as an aptitude for creative collaboration with established writers, directors and producers. The ideal candidate will have a good knowledge of world cinema and a depth of experience in professional reading and assessment of feature film concepts, treatments and screenplays.
