Festival Award for Living the Revolution

LIVING THE REVOLUTION a documentary produced by Wildfire Films has just won a major award for BEST FEATURE at the New York Film Fleadh. Director, Adrian McCarthy was in New York to receive his award.

Living the Revolution is an insightful human interest documentary film, which focuses on Martin Ferris and Gerry Adams, two controversial members of Sinn Fein. This documentary brings the viewer into the rarely seen world of Sinn Fein and simultaneously provides a unique and quirky look at Irish Politics during the 2002 general election.

Adrian McCarthy has previously directed and produced other award winning documentaries such as Dead Silence on the devastation BSE wreaks on a farm, Blowing the Whistle on gaelic football referees and To Russia With Love.

Living the Revolution was funded by the Irish Film Board and TV3. It has been screened now at a number of festivals worldwide. Wildfire Films are currently producing a number of documentaries for transmission in the coming year while also developing and producing feature film drama.
