DAY OF DEBATE: New Irish Cinema

At part of their 10th anniversary celebrations, The Irish Film Board in conjunction with the Irish Film Centre have organised a “Day of Debate on New Irish Cinema" which will take place this Saturday April 12th in the IFC. This programme of discussion and debate is open to everyone interested in or committed to cinema. A robust body of work has been created over the last decade - discussions and argumentation about that work is welcome.

The debate with include speakers such as Neil Jordan, Jim Sheridan, Kirsten Sheridan and Conor McPherson discussing issues such as the perception of Irish cinema at home and at an international level and how different generations approach filmmaking.

Admission is free - however you do need to obtain a ticket event from the IFC Box office (Call 01 679 3477) - if there are any remaining seats you will be able to get in without a ticket at the door. A full schedule of the day is also available.
