Dorothy Mills US rights bought by The Weinstein Company

It was announced this weekend that The Weinstein Company (TWC) have bought the US rights to the psychological thriller DOROTHY MILLS.

Directed by Agnes Merlet, the film which was co-funded by the IFB, was shot in Dublin and Donegal earlier this year.  It stars Dutch actress Carice Van Houten as Jane, a psychiatrist sent into a hostile island community in Ireland to take charge of a gifted teenager, Dorothy Mills, charged with mudering a baby. 

Jane discovers that Dorothy may not be responsible for her actions and might be possessed by a horrifying and alevolent force.  As she helps Dorothy, Jane is confronted with her own past tragedies and starts to unravel another terrible secret hidden y some of the local villagers.

Jenn Murray and David Wilmot also star and Olivier Delbosc and Marc Missonnier of Fidelite Films produced with Octagon Films' James Flynn.
