The Englishman selected for Cairo International Film Festival

Ian Sellars THE ENGLISHMAN has been selected for the 30th Cairo International Film Festival and will compete in the Best Digital Feature category.

The film, which was produced by Samson Films with funding from the Irish Film Board, deals with love - the near impossibility of love when you carry with you a past where, as adult or child, your heart was broken. The closer you get the harder contact becomes.

THE ENGLISHMAN screened at last months Corona Cork Film Festival.

The Cairo International Film Festival seeks first and foremost to promote cinema by acting as a focal point in the region for encouraging and refining artistic taste, advancing understanding through the language of art between all the peoples of all the world and acting as a means for developing the quality and creative output of the film industry.

The festival will take place from 28th November to 8th December.
