Filmaka call for submissions for film scheme
Filmaka has just announced its November competition, which is the final chance for filmmakers to compete for a feature film deal ('Filmaka of the Year' runs in Jan/Feb 08).Filmaka.com is an on-line network created by established independent producers, industry professionals, and film financiers. The goal of Filmaka.com is to give undiscovered filmmakers an opportunity to show custom made short films to industry professionals, award prizes to the most talented among them, and to find one truly talented director who will win a feature film deal with Filmaka at the end of the year.
HOME FOR THE HOLIDAYS is the new theme and the deadline for all uploads is midnight (PST) Friday the 30th of November.
Film entries must run between 1-3 minutes in length and can be in any language (English subtitles are encouraged).
The jury includes industry award winners such as Colin Firth, Werner Herzog, Neil LaBute, John Madden, Paul Shrader and Wim Wenders.
Entry is free to all students. They simply have to email us from a valid school/university email address at - collegeregistration@filmaka.com
