Irish Short New Boy Selected For Tribeca Film Festival
The award-winning Irish short film NEW BOY has been selected for screening at the upcoming Tribeca Film Festival (23 April - 4 May). Directed by Steph Green and produced by Tamara Anghie and Zanzibar Films as part of the IFB's Short Cuts scheme, the short will screen among 79 international shorts which were selected from 2,497 submissions for the festival.NEW BOY recently picked up the Best Short Film award at this years IFTA's and won the Audience Award for Best International Short at last years Corona Cork Film Festival. It has already screened at festivals in Berlin, Malmo, San Francisco, Dublin and Galway among others.
The Tribeca short film series is created by filmmaker Isabella Rossellini. Films from actors Matthew Modine and Rider Strong have also been selected alongside a short penned by ‘Babel' writer Guillermo Arriaga.
All 79 shorts will compete for $15,000 in prizes.
