Documentary in Europe 2008: Submission is OpenDocumentary in Europe, the annual international documentary event in Bardonecchia, Italy, is accepting submissions of documentary projects and ideas for the 2008 edition. Depending on the status of your project you can submit it to either the pitching or the match making session. Deadline for submitting your project is May 16, 2008.
The Pitching Forum
Documentary in Europe's pitching session is looking for documentary projects developed for international co-production. 21 projects will be selected to participate. The participants will be required to attend a 3-day preparation lab on July 8-10 with the opportunity to re-write the project presentation under guidance from international tutors. The pitching of the projects will be on the 11th and 12th in front of an international panel of Commissioning Editors. The participation fee is: first participant with project 300 Euro, second participant/observer 250 Euro. A 20% reduction is given to members of EDN, doc.it & F.E.R.T.
Match Making
The Match Making session gives an opportunity for authors and directors to introduce themselves to the documentary world and present their ideas at an early stage. The 15 selected filmmakers will present their documentary ideas to European professionals. The aim is to create a link and common language between newcomers and established professionals. The selected documentary ideas will be introduced in a special Match Making session. A preliminary introduction will be given to all participants. The price for participation with a project is 200 Euro, second participant/observer 160 Euro. A 20% reduction is given to members of EDN, doc.it & F.E.R.T.
