New Appointments Announced at Bord Scannán na hÉireann/the Irish Film Board

Bord Scannán na hÉireann/ the Irish Film Board (IFB) is delighted to announce a number of new positions including Patrick O'Neill to the new position of Industry Affairs Executive and Laura Notley to the role of Business Affairs Co-ordinator.

In the role of Industry Affairs Executive Patrick will work closely with the Head of Business Affairs/Deputy CEO, Teresa McGrane, on overall IFB policy and will drive one-off projects undertaken by the IFB to further strategic development.  The role will encompass co-production certification, the development of new co-production treaties and will also include the collation and analysis of statistical data from the Irish Film industry.

Patrick comes to this role with two years experience as the Business Affairs Co-ordinator at the IFB and over eight years experience in the international film industry. Patrick has previously worked in film production on several features including Song for a Raggy Boy and for sales company MR Films. In 2004, Patrick completed a Masters in Audiovisual Management from the Media Business School and since then has worked for international sales agent Capitol Films, and undertaken projects for broadcaster BSkyB and LA based film acquisition reps Trans Pacific Media Consultants. 

Laura Notley has been appointed to the role of Business Affairs Co-ordinator where she will be responsible for contracting documentary, completion and print provision funding.  Laura brings over two years of legal experience with her to the IFB having previously worked with Philip Lee Solicitors. Laura qualified as an attorney in New York and completed an internship in Chicago working with the legal aid organization ‘Lawyers for the Creative Arts'. Laura joins the IFB from Philip Lee Solicitors on a temporary basis.

Both positions are effective immediately.
