My Boy Jack wins BAFTA

My Boy Jack, the Remembrance Day drama which was shot on location in Ireland picked up a BAFTA at a glittering ceremony celebrating the best in television and interactive craft in London last night.

Morna Ferguson and Lorraine Glynn won the BAFTA for Make-Up and Hair Design for their work on My Boy Jack beating the television series Rome, Cranford and Oliver Twist.

The two hour tv drama, directed by Brian Kirk and starring Daniel Radcliffe told the story of Rudyard Kipling (played by David Haig) and his wife Carrie (Kim Cattrall) and their grief for their son Jack (Radcliffe) who died in World War I.

The tv adaptation was based on a play written by David Haig and aired on UTV and TV3 last November.
