The Wednesdays scoops Audience Choice Award in New York
Conor Ferguson's short film, THE WEDNESDAYS has won another award, this time it has scooped the Audience Choice Award at the NYC Downtown Short Film Festival.
The short, which tells the funny, poignant tale of an elderly couple who rediscover love and adventure with the help of some ecstasy tablets, has already picked up audience awards at the prestigious Clermont-Ferrand, Aspen Shortsfest and Chicago Film Festivals.
The film will feature in a "Best of the Festivals" screening in New York, 19th-21st June, and has been selected to screen at film festivals in Canada, Russia, Mexico, Spain, Portugal and the UK; and is set to become part of the film study programme in Columbia University, New York.
Co-written by Luke Clancy and Conor Ferguson, THE WEDNESDAYS was produced by Park Films and was funded by the Irish Film Board, the Galway Film Centre and RTE.
