Shorts Selected for Animation Festival
Three short animation films from the Frameworks scheme have been selected to participate in the 11th International Animation Festival of Brazil – ANIMA MUNDI 2003. The festival will take place in Rio de Janeiro from July 11th to 20th and in São Paulo from July 23rd to 27th .BUTTERFLY directed by Glenn Marshall, and produced by Dream Ireland; NOSE directed by Stephen O’ Connell and produced by Trigger Productions; and THE TRIAL OF SOLOMON directed by Steve Woods and produced by Brown Bag Films have all been selected for the Audience and Professional Awards in both cities.
FRAMEWORKS aims to add to the range and scope of Irish animation. The scheme is co-funded by Bord Scannán na hÉireann / the Irish Film Board, The Arts Council and RTÉ.
The next round of Frameworks films will be premiering at the Galway Film Fleadh in July 2003.
