Production Update June 2003
There are a number of new productions planning to shoot in Ireland over the upcoming months.The following projects are currently in Pre-Production
- King Arthur, a co-production between World 2000 and Disney, is currently in pre-production and is scheduled to begin shooting from June - November this year. This project has a total budget of €90 million and is the largest budget film ever to be shot in Ireland.
- Laws of Attraction is also currently in pre-production and is being produced by Hells Kitchen and Intermedia . This project has a budget of €30 million and is scheduled to go into production in June 2003.
- Moby Dick, an animated feature to be produced by Terraglyph productions is scheduled to go into production this Summer.
- The Big Bow Wow to be produced by Praxis Pictures, and directed by Dearbhla Walsh will be starting pre-production in the next few weeks.
- Terraglyph Productions are currently working on the Isle of Innis Coole, an animated TV series.
- The Boy who had No Story has also just gone into production and is being produced by Brown Bag Films.
The following projects are currently in Post-Production
- Dead Meat, the first ultra-low budget project funded by the Irish Film Board has just is currently in post-production. Shooting finished up in Leitrim in May.
- The Return, which went into production in April, also finished in early May and is being produced by Octagon Films and Granada is currently in post-production.
