Irish Film Kisses Screens at Prestigious Locarno International Film Festival

The Irish film Kisses screened at the prestigious Locarno International Film Festival this week after being officially selected for the festival.

Directed by Lance Daly, the film stars 12 year old Kelly O'Neill and Shane Curry as Kylie and Dylan, two young kids who decide to run away from their dysfunctional homes and spend a night on the streets of Dublin's inner city.

Kisses premiered at the Galway Film Fleadh last month to positive reviews and picked up the Best Irish Feature award at the festival.

Produced by Macdara Kelleher with Fastnet Films, the film was funded from the Irish Film Board, Film I Vast, TV3, Zentropa, BCI, Ardmore Sound and 50/50 Post.

The Locarno International Film Festival is held annually in the city of Locarno, Switzerland in the canton of Ticino. The festival was founded in 1946, and is held every August.
