32A to Open in More Cinemas throughout Ireland
Due to the success the Irish film 32A has experienced in its first week in selected cinemas across the country, it will now get a wider distribution from next week. The film, which is the directorial debut of Marian Quinn, made €12,434 in three screens (IFI in Dublin, Carrick on Shannon Cineplex and the Gaiety Cinema, Sligo) since opening last Friday, 15th August. €7441 of this total was made in the IFI in Dublin.
Starring Aidan Quinn (Legend of the Falls), Orla Brady (How About You), Jared Harris and Kate O'Toole, 32A is a heart-warming tale about the ‘in-between' time of the heroine Maeve's (played by 13 year old Ailish McCarthy) life, when she is no longer a child and not yet a woman. The film has been receiving positive reviews from the press since it went on release last week with the Irish Mail on Sunday describing it as "touching and sweetly funny and blessed with four surprisingly assured central performances".
From next week 32A will screen in more cinemas throughout the country in Dublin, Galway, Athlone, Carlow and Cork.
