Intermission to be screened at Toronto
The much anticipated Irish feature Intermission, starring Colin Farrell, Cillian Murphy, Colm Meaney, Kelly McDonald and Shirley Henderson is to be screened at the Toronto Film Festival in the Contemporary World Cinema category. Other titles screening at the festival include Lars Von Triers Dogville, Robert Altman's latest musical drama The Company and Sedigh Barmak’s controversial Osama.Intermission is an urban love story about people adrift and their convoluted journeys in the search for some kind of love. A misguided break-up between two young lovers initiates a series of events affecting everyone around them with cataclysmic results.
Intermission was produced by A Company of Wolves in association with Parallel Films Productions and Portman Films with the support of the Bord Scannán na hÉireann/the Irish Film Board, the UK Film Council and IFC Films.
Intermission will have its world premiere at the Galway Film Fleadh on July 11th and will be released in Ireland by Buena Vista International later this year.
