Irish Premiere of CHIPPERS to take place during Stranger Than Fiction Festival

The Irish premiere of the award winning IFB funded documentary CHIPPERS will screen on Saturday 27th September as part of the Stranger Than Fiction Festival which is taking place in the Irish Film Institute, Temple Bar 25th - 28th September.

The film is a nostalgic, melancholic portrait of the early struggle and integration of Dublin's unique community of four thousand Italians who have owned chip shops in the city centre since the 1900's. The screening, which will be attended by the director Nino Tropiano, will be at 12 noon.

Other IFB funded documentaries screening during the festival include GABRIEL BYRNE - STORIES FROM HOME, ABOUT BEAUTY, WAITING FOR THE LIGHT and INISHARK, DEATH OF AN ISLAND.

Along with these screenings, Stranger than Fiction in association with the IFB has put in place a training workshop as well as pitching events.
