The Daisy Chain to have its World Premiere at the Raindance Film Festival

THE DAISY CHAIN, directed by Aisling Walsh (Song for a Raggy Boy), is having it's world premiere at the upcoming 16th Raindance Film Festival in London this week.

Starring Samantha Morton, Steven Mackintosh and Eva Birthistle, the film tells the story of Martha and Tomas who, after retreating to the West of Ireland to recover from the sudden death of their infant, foster a disturbed eight-year-old girl Daisy who has lost her entire family to tragic accidents.  The locals warn Martha and Tomas that Daisy is an evil fairy changeling but to Martha, Daisy is the child she has always longed for.

Produced by Tristan Orpen Lynch with Subotica Entertainment and filmed on location in Co. Mayo, THE DAISY CHAIN will screen on Thursday, 9th October.

The Raindance Film Festival, was founded in 1993 by filmmakers for filmmakers.  Last year, the Irish film ONCE picked up the award for Best International Film.
