Irish Film Eden Set for North American Release
The critically claimed Irish film EDEN directed by Declan Recks and written by Eugene O'Brien, which scooped the Best Actress award for Eileen Walsh in Tribeca earlier this year, is set to be released in selected cinemas across North America.Since its international debut at Tribeca, EDEN has screened at numerous international festivals including the Edinburgh International Film Festival and opened the first ever Los Angeles Irish Film Festival earlier this month, to positive reviews.
Liberation Entertainment will release EDEN and it is set to open in the Sunshine Theatre, New York City on 7th November. Over the following months it will screen in selected cinemas in various cities across the States such as LA, San Francisco, Washington DC and Houston.
The film was produced by Samson Films, with funding from Bord Scannán na hÉireann/the Irish Film Board (IFB), RTE and the BCI.
Following its success at the Toronto and Edinburgh Film Festivals, Ian Fitzgibbon's A FILM WITH ME IN IT will be released in Irish cinemas nationwide this weekend. Written by Mark Doherty, the Irish black comedy/thriller stars Dylan Moran and Mark Doherty as a dissolute scriptwriter and a struggling actor embroiled in a murder case.
Produced by Alan Moloney and Susan Mullen for Parallel Film Productions with funding from the Irish Film Board, it also features Keith Allen, Aisling O'Sullivan and Amy Huberman.
