Five Minutes of Heaven to have World Premiere at Sundance Film Festival
Five Minutes of Heaven, directed by Oliver Hirschbiegel and starring Liam Neeson (Taken, Kinsey) and James Nesbitt (Jekyll, Murphys Law) will have its World Premiere at the renowned Sundance Film Festival next month.The film which was shot in Co. Down earlier this year tells the story of two Ulstermen from the same town but from different sides of the Irish political divide who discover that the past is never dead.
It will screen as part of the World Cinema Dramatic Competition along with ‘An Education' directed by Lone Scherfig and ‘Bronson' directed by Nicolas Winding.
Co-produced by Eoin O'Callaghan, Ed Guiney and Andrew Lowe for Big Fish Films, Ruby Films and Element Pictures, the film received financing from the IFB, BBC Films, Pathé and Northern Ireland Screen.
