Garage Nominated for Three Evening Standard Film Awards
The IFB funded film Garage has picked up three nominations at the Evening Standard Film Awards.Irish actor and comedian Pat Shortt has been short-listed in the Best Actor category for his role as a small town misfit. He will be up against Micheal Fassbinder who starred in the Northern Ireland hit Hunger.
Lenny Abrahamson, director of Garage, also got the nod for Best Director while writer Mark O'Halloran was short-listed in the Best Screenplay category. O'Halloran will be competing against fellow Irish man Martin McDonagh as he has been nominated for In Bruges. Hunger has also been nominated for the Best Film award.
The awards which take place in London on February 2nd is one of the longest running annual film award ceremonies in the UK.
