The Critically Acclaimed Irish Film KISSES Available to Buy on DVD on March 6th
Following on from its successful screenings at A-list international festivals such as Toronto, Locarno and Telluride and its two IFTA wins last month, KISSES is available to buy on DVD this Friday, March 6th.Written and directed by Lance Daly, KISSES stars 12 year old Kelly O'Neill and Shane Curry as Kylie and Dylan, who live in a suburban housing estate devoid of life, colour and the prospects of escape. The two young children decide to run away from their dysfunctional homes and spend a night on the streets of Dublin's inner city. Daly's vision of Dublin, as seen through the innocent eyes of our protagonists, is a kaleidoscope of magic, wonder and mystery. But as the night wears on, and Dublin takes on a darker character, the two kids have to rely on the kindness of strangers, the songs of Bob Dylan and their trust in each other to survive the night.
The film scooped the Best Director (Lance Daly) and the Best Editing (J Patrick Duffner) at the Irish Film and Television Awards last month.
KISSES was produced by Macdara Kelleher with Fastnet Films (The Halo Effect, Tonight is Cancelled) and was funded by the IFB, Film I Vast, the BCI, TV3 and Zentropa. It is being distributed by Element Pictures Distribution.
