Calling all Documentary Makers - Sheffield Doc/Fest 2009 now accepting submissions!
Sheffield Doc/Fest, the UK's premiere documentary festival is looking for submissions and will be accepting applications until 17th June.Documentary films of any style, duration or subject produced for television, cinema, as part of film school course work and cross platform films are accepted for consideration into the Doc/Fest's official programme and Videotheque for 2009.
Both established or debut filmmakers alike are encouraged to apply. Documentaries produced after June 2008 are preferred but older applications can be entered.
This year awards will be presented to films in the following categories: Sheffield Doc/Fest Green Award, Sheffield Doc/Fest Innovation Award, Sheffield Doc/Fest Youth Jury Award, Sheffield Doc/Fest Audience Award and Sheffield Doc/Fest Best Student Doc Award, with two more award categories set to be announced shortly.
Last year over 1400 film entries were received by Doc/Fest from all over the world.
Filmmakers should check out the festival website for complete rules and regulations and to enter their film using the on-line form.
The Sheffield Doc/Fest will take place 4th - 8th November 2009.
