Irish Feature Film FIVE MINUTES OF HEAVEN to air on BBC Two This Weekend
Award winning Irish feature film FIVE MINUTES OF HEAVEN directed by Oliver Hirschbiegel will air on BBC Two this Sunday 5th April.Shot in Northern Ireland during the summer of 2008, the film stars Liam Neeson (Taken, Michael Collins) and James Nesbitt (Murphy's Law, Jekyll) as two Ulstermen; one a murderer, the other the brother of the man he killed, who discover that the past is never dead.
The drama, which recently screened at the Dublin International Film Festival, picked up two prizes at the prestigious Sundance Film Festival in the US earlier this year with Guy Hibbert winning the World Cinema Screenwriting Award and Hirschbiegel picking up the World Cinema Directing Award: Dramatic.
Produced by Eoin O'Callaghan, Ed Guiney and Andrew Lowe for Big Fish Films, Ruby Films and Element Pictures, it was co-financed by BBC Films, Pathe, Northern Ireland Screen and the Irish Film Board. Element Pictures Distribution will oversee the distribution of the film in Ireland.
Five Minutes of Heaven will screen on BBC Two on Sunday 5th April at 9.00pm
