Variety spotlights New Irish Talent
Variety, the renowned entertainment trade magazine has published a special feature on the Irish film industry.The feature entitled IRISH FILM SOARS PAST OLD LIMITATIONS says that Ireland "is finally achieving a critical mass of filmmaking talent to match the kind of influence, disproportionate to its small size, that it has always enjoyed in the fields of literature and theater".
It describes Irish cinema as coming of age in recent years and that Ireland can boast directors and writers with significant and growing international reputations.
The spotlight is also thrown onto Irish animation and in particular Cartoon Saloon and their animated feature film THE SECRET OF KELLS.
