Exclusive Public Interview with Hollywood Legend Screenwriter SHANE BLACK in Dublin
This event has now sold outBord Scannán na hÉireann/the Irish Film Board (IFB) in partnership with the Jameson Dublin International Film Festival (JDIFF) are delighted to announce a unique opportunity to attend a public interview with internationally acclaimed screenwriter Shane Black, and listen to his life experiences as one of Hollywood's highest paid and most acclaimed writers on Thursday 4th June at 5.30pm in the Light House Cinema.
Shane Black is responsible for the some of the biggest blockbuster action films of the late 1980s and early 1990s, including Lethal Weapon and The Last Boy Scout. At age 23 he sold the first screenplay to the hugely successful franchise Lethal Weapon. At the height of his career he was the highest paid screenwriter in the Hollywood movie industry. He received US$1.75 million for his screenplay The Last Boy Scout and US$4 million for penning The Long Kiss Goodnight. Black also made a cameo appearance in the movie As Good As It Gets. He made his directorial debut in 2005 with Kiss Kiss, Bang Bang, which he also wrote. He received the Distinguished Screenwriter Award from the Austin Film Festival 2006. He has two projects in development including the fifth installment of the Lethal Weapon series.
This public interview will be followed by a screening of Kiss Kiss Bang Bang, the murder mystery starring Robert Downey Junior and Val Kilmner.
