New Short Cuts Deadline: 31st October
The new deadline for applications for the Short Cuts has just been announced and is the 31 October 2003.This year a number of changes have been made to the Short Cuts guidelines. Whilst priority will still be given to emerging directors, Short Cuts is now also open to directors who have directed features with budgets of no more than €1.5 million. Directors may direct up to two Short Cuts.
The length of projects has also been extended to between 6 and 15 minutes and the maximum budget for any project is €80,000.
Short Cuts aims to add to the range and scope of Irish short film-making and to encourage new talent in all areas of film production. The scheme is co-funded by Bord Scannán na hÉireann/the Irish Film Board and RTE.
