New Irish Films Lend Me Your Face and Sensation in Production in Dublin and Wicklow

Two Irish Film Board funded feature films LEND ME YOUR FACE and SENSATION are currently in production in Dublin and Wicklow.

LEND ME YOUR FACE directed by Maurice Linnane and written by Barry Devlin (Ballykissangel) stars Irish actors Jayne Wiserner (Sweeney Todd) and Mark O'Halloran (Adam and Paul) in the lead roles along with Lee Arenberg (Pirates of the Caribbean). The project is filming in Dublin and New York over a five week period.

This contemporary comedy follows 21-year-old Orla Cassidy from Co. Monaghan as she wins Celebrity Quest and finds herself on the trip of a lifetime - sent to New York to plant a kiss on a famous pop star.  With Ray, cameraman and documentary-maker manqué and Mike the soundman in tow filming her every move, they start looking for the object of their quest which proves harder than imagined.

Produced by Tim Palmer and Tristan Orpen Lynch for Ignition Film Productions and Subotica Limited Lend Me Your Face is Linnane's first feature film, having previous experience in the advertising and music industries.

SENSATION, the darkly comic love story written and directed by Tom Hall (Bachelor's Walk) is currently filming in Newtownmountkennedy, Co Wicklow.

Tony award nominee Domhnall Gleeson stars with New Zealand actress Luanne Gordon (King Kong) and Patrick Ryan (Whistleblower).  The film details the relationship between Donal and an aging antipodean escort, Kim.  They begin as client and call-girl, evolve into lovers and finally business partners.  What starts as a soulless contract develops into a bittersweet love story.

This is Tom Hall's second feature following Wide Open Spaces which is due to premiere at the Edinburgh International Film Festival this weekend.

The film is produced by Katie Holly and Kieron J. Walsh for Blinder Films and is an Irish-Dutch co-production with finance from the Irish Film Board, the Rotterdam Film Fund, Screenscene and Section 481.
