Posted: 2nd September 2026

Fís Éireann/Screen Ireland is delighted to congratulate the creative teams behind Lemonade, The Slightest Touch, All About the Money and Julián, which have been selected for the BFI London Film Festival.

Lemonade, starring Screen International and Screen Ireland Rising Star Lewis Brophy and Academy Award nominee Barry Keoghan, is directed by Kim Bartley in her debut narrative feature. The film is set amid Ireland’s care system. It follows teenager Danny, who after making a mistake that could derail his future, unexpectedly reconnects with Josh, a social worker who once tried to help him but whose own mistakes drove them apart. When their paths cross again, Josh becomes both mentor and mirror, guiding Danny on his journey to manhood - through first love and loves lost. Lemonade will receive its UK Premiere at the Festival after its World Premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) next week.

Lemonade is produced by Rachel Lysaght for Underground Films and Farah Abushwesha for Rocliffe Productions, with executive producers Kim Bartley, Geraldine East, Niamh Fagan, Desmond Byrne, Lorcan Kavanagh, Peg Cafferty, Deepak Sikka, Mark Foligno, Sire Ramos and Barry Keoghan for Wolfcub. The film is presented by Fís Éireann/Screen Ireland, in association with Play House Studios, and with the participation of Coimisiún na Meán and RTÉ.

Rachel Fleit's The Slightest Touch follows Emma Fogarty as she turns forty - an age doctors once said she would never reach. Emma, who lives with the rare and extremely painful condition Epidermolysis Bullosa, takes up the offer from longtime friend Colin Farrell to run the Dublin Marathon together, pushing her wheelchair for the final four kilometres. The Slightest Touch follows their lives and the enduring friendship that has sustained them through the years.

The Slightest Touch is an HBO Documentary Films presentation from Fine Point Films and Chapel Place Productions, in association with The Kennedy/Marshall Company, Original Films, Deshe Capital LLC, The deNovo Initiative, Union Editorial, Northern Ireland Screen and Fís Éireann/Screen Ireland.

All About The Money is directed by acclaimed Irish documentary maker Sinéad O'Shea. As a means of disrupting the capitalist system he grew up in - but has now come to despise, a son of one of America's wealthiest families creates a communist revolutionary base in rural Massachusetts. It's the starting point of an astonishing journey. The documentary premiered at the 2026 Sundance Film Festival, with further screenings at the Galway Film Fleadh, Thessaloniki International Film Festival and more.

All About The Money is produced by Claire McCabe, Sinead O'Shea and Katie Holly for SOS Productions, and by Harry Vaughn and Sigrid Dyekjær for Real Lava. The film is supported by Fís Éireann/Screen Ireland, Inevitable Pictures and Real Lava.

Julián, the feature film debut from director and animator Louise Bagnall, will receive its North American Premiere at TIFF, after premiering to audiences at Annecy International Film Festival. The film follows wide-eyed Julián who is about to spend the summer with a grandmother he barely knows. He is amazed to discover her treasure-trove apartment, his own Caribbean heritage and the lively Brooklyn community he is surrounded by, but most surprising of all, Julián discovers that he is, in fact, a mermaid!

Directed by Louise Bagnall, from a script by Juliany Taveras, Julián is produced by Cartoon Saloon (Ireland), Aircraft Pictures (Canada), Melusine Studio (Luxembourg) and Sun Creature (Denmark) in association with Wychwood Media, Crave, Guru Studio and BCP Asset Management. Academy Award® winner Zoe Saldaña, Cisely Saldaña and Mariel Saldaña and their production company Cinestar Pictures as Executive Producers.
